Azeroth Survivors Guide

Azeroth Survivors is Aethus's free WoW fan game: you move through enemy waves while your class attacks automatically, choose upgrades as you level, and defeat bosses to progress. Start at the original game website, or follow the first-run guide before entering Elwynn Forest.

01

Browser: open the original site. Its current launcher requires WebGPU and a usable graphics adapter. If it reports too many requests, use the loading guide to distinguish a service limit from a local graphics problem.

What you do during a run

Your first run
  1. 01

    Position

    Keep an escape route.

  2. 02

    Collect

    Reach experience safely.

  3. 03

    Choose

    Solve your run’s weak point.

  4. 04

    Face bosses

    Read the zone’s schedule.

Your main job is positioning. Keep a route through the enemies, collect experience and gold when you can reach them safely, and choose upgrades that solve the problem in front of you. A large area attack helps clear a crowd; it does not automatically solve a boss fight.

Level-ups offer three choices, and the recorded original builds allow up to six different spells in a run. Further offers can improve spells you already know. Gold opens caches for additional run upgrades. Read each offer's effect before choosing: a familiar Warcraft item name can have a different function here.

The builds guide shows how to turn those offers into a coherent plan without depending on one exact sequence of random cards.

EVERY ATTEMPT BUILDS SOMETHING

What resets, and what stays

ProgressWhat happens when you start another run
Run level and selected spell upgradesYou start again and choose a new setup
Jewelry and other temporary run itemsThey belong to that run
Permanent boss equipment in your class collectionYou can manage and equip it through the Armory
Class talent progressionIt develops across runs
Zone progressionThe overview footage shows unlocks tied to the class being played

The distinction matters when you change classes. A well-equipped Priest and a fresh Mage do not start from the same progression state. Ghost Gaming Insider's progression explanation shows why a new run can reset your spells while retaining your character's equipment and talents.

Read the zone panel before committing

Elwynn Forest is the starting zone in the linked gameplay. Its panel lists the boss sequence and the final encounter; completing it opens the next stage for that class.

Use your current game's schedule. Early footage shows a 20-minute finale, while later footage shows 16 minutes. Those recordings describe different builds, so neither timer should be treated as a permanent rule.

BEFORE YOU ENTER

A few things worth knowing

Do I attack manually?

Your attacks cast automatically. Concentrate on moving, collecting experience and choosing useful upgrades.

Learn the controls
Can I play on a phone?

You can try the original browser route, but success depends on your device, browser and graphics support. Reaching the menu does not guarantee a stable full run.

Check the mobile routes
What carries over between runs?

Run levels, chosen spell upgrades and temporary jewelry reset. Permanent boss equipment and class talents are separate progression layers shown in the recordings.

Understand progression
What should I do if the game will not load?

Start with the exact error. HTTP 429 points to a request limit; WebGPU and graphics-adapter messages need different checks.

Original game and community

The original announcement and player discussion describes the game as an alpha and links the Azeroth Survivors Discord. Use those original channels for release information and community reports.

Aethus's original is a fan project, separate from Blizzard's official World of Warcraft service. These guides combine recorded gameplay with original project material and clearly identified community reports.
